Senior Social
Our Senior Social group at the Dickson YMCA meets every month will feature a new adventure and a new location.

Free Senior Mondays
We can all obtain significant health benefits from a moderate amount of physical activity, such as walking, or by engaging in strength training activities. Benefits of physical activity in older adults include healthy bones, muscles and joints and helps control joint swelling and pain associated with arthritis.
That's why any Senior (ages 65+) can use our facility every Monday for free.
Stop by the Y and check out our walking track and strength training equipment today!

This class is also ideal for someone who is recovering from an injury or illness. Chairs are provided to help the student stay comfortable and stable while regaining strength.

Specialized Fitness Equipment
SciFit Recumbent Stepper
Have you tried our new SciFit recumbent stepper? Sits like a recumbent bike, but feels like an elliptical machine. The seat swivels to make it easier to get into and can even be removed for direct wheelchair access making it perfect for anyone with mobility issues.
At the Dickson YMCA we're always looking for new equipment options to support all of members. Nothing should stop you from achieving your health and wellness goals!
Indoor Walking Track
The benefits of walking are too numerous to mention, but include strengthening your bones and muscles, helps reduce blood pressure, keeps joints flexible, and increases balance and coordination.
When it's too rainy or too cold to walk outside, we have an indoor walking track that circles our Wellness floor. If you walk around it14 times, you've just completed a mile. Just another option to keep you fit an active regardless of the weather outside!
